Choose the right powders for body repair

Choose the right Cold Spray powders for auto body repair: corrosion protection, sealing, and build-up

Pick 1–2 powders based on the repair task: zinc for anti-corrosion protection, Al-Zn for sealing holes and repairing corrosion damage, and aluminum for restoring shape. Proper surface preparation (alumina) is essential.

Most commonly used for body repair: Z-01 + A-3 + A-2 (+ A 00-03 for surface preparation).

See the Process and the Before/After Result
Real-world auto body repair with Cold Gas Spray: damaged areas, edges, and corrosion repair — without welding and without overheating the panel. Watch the video and scroll through the Before/After examples.

How Cold Gas Spray Works (in 3 steps)

In short: surface preparation → powder spraying → final finishing. No traditional melting process like in welding.

1

Surface Preparation

Cleaning and abrasive blasting. The goal is to remove contamination and create the right surface profile for adhesion.

2

Powder Deposition

The powder is deposited in a solid-state process — without traditional material melting. Parameters are adjusted to the surface and repair task.

3

Final Finishing

The repaired area is leveled and prepared for paint or further work, depending on the type of repair and the desired finish.
